Mrs. Clark Passes Centuary Mark

Will Observe 101st Birthday Anniversary Today - Numerous Friends From All Over County Will Call on Her Today and Assist in Making Event a Pleasant One.

Today Mrs. Marium Clark, known throughout the county as "Grandma" Clark will celebrate her 101st birthday anniversary. Her home is in Town Lyndon and for the past thirty years it had been customary for neighbors and friends to call on these anniversary dates and assist in making the event a pleasant one.

Mrs. Clark was born in Stranstead, Canada, May 1, 1911 (sic). She was married Feb. 20, 1829 and came to Wisconsin together with her family in October 1855, settling near Cascade where she has lived since. She was the mother of twelve children, six of whom are still living: C. L. Clark and Mrs. D. P. Heath, Tomahawk; C. A. Clark, Spring Valley; Mrs. G. L. Heath, New Lisbon; Mrs. Frank Ford and G. W. Clark, Cascade.

Grandma Clark has thirty-four grand children, thirty-three great grand children, and one great great grand child, representing five generations.

Mrs. Clark's grandfather, Mr. Worth, served in an artillery regiment during the revolution, his home at the time being in Vermont.

Mrs. Clark is enjoying fairly good health and today will again receive calls from hosts of friends who desire to extend congratulations.

Grandma Clark Observes Birthday


Reaches Remarkable Age of One Hundred and Three Years, Large Number of Relatives and Friends Gather in Home of W. W. Ford Near Cascade.

Grandma Clark, the oldest resident of Sheboygan county, celebrated her one hundred and third birthday anniversary at the home of W. W. Ford, on Friday. Sixty friends, neighbors, children, and great grand children were present and the home was brightened by a large display of flowers sent from admiring friends of Mrs. Clark.

Mrs. Clark was born in Stranstead, Canada East, May 1, 1811, and was married Feb. 20, 1829 and came to Wisconsin in Oct. 1855 locating near Cascade where she has lived since that time.

Twelve children were born to her and six of them still live. They are, C. L. Clark and Mrs. D. P. Heath of Tomahawk, Wis.; C. A. Clark, Spring Valley; Mrs. G. L. Heath, New Lisbon and Mrs. Frank Ford and G. W. Clark, Cascade.

Mrs. Clark is enjoying good health and took great interest in the celebration of her birthday anniversary last Friday. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Heath, Charlie and Lillian Heath, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Walden, Jenette and Jefferson Walden, Mrs. Mae Robison and Earl Robison of New Lisbon; C. L. Clark and Mrs. D. P. Clark, LaValle; Mrs. May Driscoll and Dale Driscoll, Spencer; Mrs. Emma Colby, Minneapolis; Mrs. Blanche Green, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ford and Vernie, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Ford, Dale and Naomi Ford, G. W. and Belle Clark, Mr. and Mrs. E. F.
