CHEANEY-BROGAN WEDDING

On Tuesday October 23, occurred the marriage of Martha, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Brogan, to Chas. B. Cheaney of West Allis. The marriage took place at St. Michael's church, Mitchell, Rev. Father Burke performing the ceremony. The couple were unattended. Frank McNicholas, uncle of the bride and Willie Brogan, her brother, were the witnesses.

The bride was attired in cream silk eolienne over silk and wore a cream picture hat.

After the ceremony the young couple repaired to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Brogan, where the reception was held. The near relatives and the H.H. Girls were the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Cheaney left on the north bound train the same afternoon for a short trip, after which they will begin housekeeping in their home at West Allis where the groom is employed with a plumbing company.

Miss Brogan was one of Mitchell's most popular young ladies and has the best wishes of the many who know her. In 1900 she attended Plymouth High school and later she spent a year at Notre Dame Academy of Milwaukee.

Mr. Cheaney though not as well known here is respected by those who have met him.

The presents received were both useful and costly.
