Plumber Of West Allis, A Suburb Of Milwaukee - One Wedding Tuesday, The
On Tuesday October 23, occurred the marriage of Martha, the only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Brogan, to Chas. B. Cheaney of West Allis. The marriage
took place at St. Michael's church, Mitchell, Rev. Father Burke performing
the ceremony. The couple were unattended. Frank McNicholas, uncle of the
bride and Willie Brogan, her brother, were the witnesses.
The bride was attired in cream silk eolienne over silk and wore a cream
After the ceremony the young couple repaired to the home of the bride's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Brogan, where the reception was held. The near
relatives and the H.H. Girls were the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Cheaney left on
the north bound train the same afternoon for a short trip, after which they
will begin housekeeping in their home at West Allis where the groom is
employed with a plumbing company.
Miss Brogan was one of Mitchell's most popular young ladies and has the best
wishes of the many who know her. In 1900 she attended Plymouth High school
and later she spent a year at Notre Dame Academy of Milwaukee.
Mr. Cheaney though not as well known here is respected by those who have met
The presents received were both useful and costly.
