7 John Hardy (son of Thomas) of Bradford, b. about 1646: m. 1st, April 2, 1667 [Rw.] MARY JACKMAN, who d. Dec. 2, 1689 [Bd.]; 2d, wid. MARTHA BDRBANK, who was dismissed from the Rowley church June 13, 1698, and received by the Bradford church Aug. 21, 1698. John and wife Mary were original members of the Bradford church, as recorded in 1682. He was John, sen. after 1695; d. Feb. 4, 1714-5 [Bd.]; will Feb. 1, Feb. 17, 1714-5, wife Martha mentioned. A Martha d. in 1716 [Bd.].

II. MARY, b. April 2, 1671 [Bd.]; m. May 22, 1695 [Hv.], DANIEL TENNY (son of Thomas). She was dead in 1715, leaving children.
III. SARAH, b. March 25, 1673 [Bd.]; m. June 20, 1693 [Bd.], FRANCIS JEWETT of Bradford. She d. Feb. 3, 1744 [Bd.]. 10 children on Bradford records, b. 1694-1719.
IV. JOSEPH, b. Feb. 3, 1674 [Bd.]; m. April 6, 1698, MARY BURBANK.

DANIEL TENNEY, born in Rowley, Mass., 16 July, 1653, son of Thomas and Ann ( ); married 21 July, 1680, Elizabeth Stickney, daughter of Lieutenant Samuel and Julia (Swan) Stickney. Mrs. Tenney was born in Bradford, Mass., 9 May, 1661, and died in Rowley, 28 April, 1694. He married his second wife, Mary Hardy, 22 May, 1695, by Rev. Benjamin Rolfe of Haverhill, Mass. The date of her death l have not found. He was published 27 May, 1712; married in Newbury, Mass., 5 June, 1712; third wife, Elizabeth Woodman, born 6 Feb., 1667, daughter of Joshua and Elizabeth (Stevens). His residence, Bradford, where the children by first wife were born. Removed to Byfield parish, Rowley. The farm is situated on the northwest side of Simons brook, and deeded or inherited by the following persons, to wit, Daniel II, Daniel III, Nathaniel lV, Enoch V, William Vl, John Searle Vl, and daughter, Martha Jane VII, now Mrs. Joshua W. Hathaway of Norridgewock, Me [the author, Jonathan Tenney]. The farm has recently been sold (1903). Under command of Major Richard Waldon of Dover, N. H., appears the name of Daniel Tenney on pay-roll dated 24 March, 1675-6, amount due 1.19s.4d. Daniel Tenney, husbandman, conveys land in Rowley to Joshua Woodman, cordwainer, for the consideration of 8.10s., date 3 February, 1703-4. Samuel Tenney a
witness. Acknowledged 13 July, 1709. (Essex Deeds, 22: 118.) He gives to son Daniel, who is to " support myself and wife," all his estate. Wife Elizabeth signs 14 Jan., 1714-15. (Essex Deeds, 36:110.) He transfers by deed 8 May, 1701, to Samuel Todd. Acknowledged, 19 March, 1727-8. (Essex Deeds, 81 : 149.) Elizabeth Tenney, with her family, for 22, conveys deed to Thomas Williams of Newbury, for twelve acres of land in Newbury, date 27
December, 1712. (Essex Deeds, 26:31.) She died 5 September, 1749, "over eighty" years of age. Mr. Tenney died in his ninety-fifth year. (Deacon William Tenney Vl., MSS.) Children :
