- In 1956: Central Valley High School opens.
- In 1967: Shasta College built east of Redding, Shasta High moves to its current site; Nova High School opens at the former site; Pioneer High School opens.
- In 1991: Nova High School closes; Foothill High takes over that campus.
- In 1992: Central Valley High leaves the Shasta district, unifies with Shasta Lake-area schools.
- In 1993: Churn Creek High School opens.
- In 1999: Foothill High moves to Palo Cedro; Shasta Learning Center opens at Foothill's former site.
