Our Netherland family begins with Robert Netherland in London, England in the early 1600's. He married Frances Ward.
His three known sons, Robert, James, and John were born in James City County, Virginia in the 1650's. Robert married and had one known daughter, Sarah Elizabeth who married Henry Tate and also settled in Virginia.
I have not researched this family.
