My earliest known Bush ancestor is William Burgess Bush born about 1770 and died about 1850 in Sumner County, Tennessee. He married Anna Jane Boren in 1799 in Pendelton District, Edgefield County, South Carolina.

     This couple had four children that I know of. Josiah, Milly, Alsa and Oliver. The family lived on Drakes Creek in Sumner County.

     My third great-grandfather is Josiah Bush, born in 1810 in South Carolina and died in 1862 in Sumner County, Tennessee. He married Catherine Rider. They had 12 children.

     Their daughter, Eliza Telithu Bush, married Evans McGee Coker in 1849 in Sumner County, Tennesse and had four children.
