8/6/96 Clara May Burkhart/Conley never married Guy W. Van Voorhis, however according to court papers, dated 18 December 1899, Grundy County, Iowa, he was the birth father of Gladys Muriel Burkhart/Conley.

Byron and Gladys Bennett lived 4 miles west of Goldendale, Washington on the road going to Glenwood, on the Klickitat river. The river was very close to the house. This is where Clyde Conley, brother of Gladys, caught his first trout. Byron managed the ranch for someone else, raised cattle.

He came to Prosser, Washington in 1899 from Minnisota, being born in Sauk Center, Minnisota in 1899. Frank Bennett's parents, Willis Asel Bennett and mother, Ida, Homesteaded in the Rattlesnake Hills, north of Prosser, Washington, their home was know as "Lookout Lodge". Frank Bennett served in four Battles during WW I and was awarded the Bronze Star in 1920. He farmed in the Rattlesnake Hills. Frank Bennett died in the Walnut Grove Nursing Home, Jan 4, 1987, where he had lived since 1970.
