William's birth is listed as Aug 1861 in Wales, he immigrated to the US in 1886 and was naturalized. He works as a doubler in the tinmill, rents his home and reads, writes and speaks English.

Death: obituary notice: William Griffith of 821 Main St, a well known millman died in his home at 5 o'clock this morning after a brief illness of a complication. Deceased was born in Wales 61 years ago. He leaves his wife and the following children: Mrs. Anna Wright, Mrs. Sarah Hughes, Mrs. Beatrice Irwin, Thomas, William, all of this city, and David, of Akron. He also leaves one sister Mrs. Evan Rees of Canton, and a brother and sister in Wales. He was affiliated with the Red Men, Foresters and Moose. Funeral arrangements incomplete.
William GRIFFITHS is listed as age 7 on the 1871 British Census in Llansamlet, Glamorgan, Wales.
