!Patrick Grant, II of Glenmoriston, from whom came the family patronymic, "Mac-'ic'Phadruig," being implicated in Huntly's rebellion was not served heir to his father until 1566 (in Glenmoriston) and 1569 (in Culcabock).
From "Genealogy of the Family of Glenmoriston" Patrick Mor Grant the first of that name and second Laird of Glenmoriston married the Laird of Grant's daughter by whome he had w sons, John Mor of the Castle and Duncan who died of old age. This Patrick was with his uncle at the Sanguinary Battle of Blairlina and among the seven men who only escaped alive from the field of battle.
