The Snitterfield parish register (yet to be examined fully), as might be expected, includes a number of Shakespeare entries:

This family actually forms part of the family of Richard Shakespeare, of Snitterfield. The information in Shakespeareana Genealogica is slightly wrong: Henry & Margaret Shakespeare did not have a daughter Joanna. Also the date of death given for John Shakespeare (1601) is incorrect, being based on the belief that he was the Poet's father - this John actually died in 1610 in Clifford Chambers.
