There is a slight
discrepancy with his age, which would make him born in 1807. He appears to have
survived to at least the time of the 1881 Census, where he is still living in

Thomas Shakespeare
(1873-1935) enlisted in the British Army and served in India, before emigrating
to Australia. During the First World War he joined the Australian Army and
served in Europe. At this time it is thought that he returned to England and
visited his sister Selina. He died in a coalmining accident.
