Upright Cross - In loving memory of John Shakespeare who died February 4 1920 aged 64 and of his wife Emma Shakespeare who died July 16 1930 aged 72. Not gone from memory not gone from love but gone to the Heavenly Home above.

Upright slate - In loving memory of Harriett Shakespeare who died June 7 1901 aged 73 also of William Shakespeare the beloved husband of the above died January 28 1905 aged 79. Weep not for me. I'm free from pain. My earthly sufferings o'er. I hope to meet you all again on a peaceful, happy shore.
 
 
 
 
Polesworth Baptist Church
William Shakespeare & Florence nee Clamp were married here in 1907. Also John & Emma Shakespeare's daughter Emily was married here in 1920 to Alfred Scaysbrook.
Charles Shakespeare is buried here.
Charles took part in the 1914-1918 war. He was one that made the supreme sacrifice. His name is on a plaque mounted on wall beneath cross and behind rostrum in the Church.
There is Cornelius Whitmore and Harriet Elizabeth Whitmore (nee Shakespeare ) buried here also. Daughter of William and Harriet (nee Brown) Shakespeare:
White upright stone & kerb/ No stonemason.
In loving memory of Harriett Elizabeth beloved wife of Cornelius Whitemore died February 25th 1925 aged 63 years. The peace of Jesus filled her breast and in His arms she sank to rest. Also of Cornelius Whitmore beloved husband of the above died December 28th 1927 aged 64 years. In the midst of life we are in death.
