Shakespear - Colonel Henry Alexander - 5th Bengal Cavalry - died 11th July 1887.
Son of Lieutenant-Colonel Henry J.C. Shakepear (25th N.I.). Born at Aurangabad, Deccan, 2nd December 1840. Served Bhutan 1865 (medal and bar), Afghanistan 1880 (medal).
Grave at Lahore -
"In memory of Colonel H.A. Shakespear commandant 5th Bengal Cavalry who died at Mian Mir 11th July 1887 aged 46 years 7 months and 9 days."

Shakespear - Captain William Ross - 3rd Madras Light Cavalry - died 31st May 1862.
Grave at Vizagapatam -
"Sacred to the memory of Captain William Ross Shakespear of the 3rd Madras Light Cavalry. Died at Waltair 31st May 1862 aged 34 years. This monument is erected by his disconsolate widow."

Shakespear - Lieutenant William Talbot - 13th Foot - died 8th April 1838.
Son of William Oliver Shakespear (Madras Civil Service).
Tablet in St. James' Church, Karnal -
"This tablet is erected by the officers of the XIIIth Light Infantry, to commemorate their esteem and regard for Lieutenant William Talbot Shakespear, eldest son of W.O. Shakespear Esqre Madras Civil Service, who died at Karnaul on the 8th of April 1838. A similar token of regret at his early death, is placed over his mortal remains."
