FOLLIS Families in Stark County, Ohio

My fifth great-grandparents parents George ESSIG 1790-1866 and Catherine SCHOLLENBERGER 1796-1872 both Pennsylvania to Stark County, Ohio to Whitley County, Indiana.

George's parents Simon ESSIG 1754-1852 Washington County, Maryland to Stark County, Ohio and Julianna SCHNERR 1761-1844 York County, Pennsylvania to Stark County, Ohio. At 98 years of age Simon is my oldest ancestor and was a Revolutionary War Soldier.

My third great-grandfather George ROYER's obituary says he served in the War of 1812 . I find a George ROGER in Columbiana County, Ohio. One of George's obituary has him ROGER so it could be him?

My grandparents Elizabeth SCHNEIDER 1890-1932 Massillon, Stark County, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana and Milo FOLLIS 1890-1944 Delphos, Van Wert County, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.

Elizabeth's parents John SCHNEIDER 1843-1917 Alsace Loraine, Germany to Stark County, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana and Margaret Longenfeldt 1849-1925 Germany to Stark County, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.

Genealogy research is never complete, important details might be missing, and often contains errors, so let me know if your research contradicts mine. My Indiana and Ohio family research comes from conversations with relatives, scrapbooks, library research, online records, visits to courthouses, final resting places on family farms and cemeteries. Families in other states rely mostly on the research of others. Links to other web sites often change then won't work, so if you find broken links, have additional information on any families, corrections, photos, or anything to add to the history of our families, please leave a Comment in my Guest book, join my Follis Families on Facebook page for updates and new discoveries, or send an Email. The Wayback Machine archives most old web pages so copy and paste the broken URL address to find the missing 404 pages that disappeared.
