Rhoda D. HUTCHINSON (surname unproven edp), [perhaps dau of Ebanezer HUTCHINSON and Rhoda DALE (spelling unclear) (edp)]. She married second a CASSIDY and lived in Humboldt Co CA for a short while. Interred at Ferndale Cemetery there.

David is reported to have moved to Jackson Co. OR before 1860 (hep) when he was reported in the federal census (c1860). It is unclear where his family was at that time. He had James DUNLAP (hep) in Jackson Co who married 6 Nov 1889 in Jacksonville Bertha Ann PANTER, dau of John and Cynthia PANTER (hep) who was born on Oregon and lived in Coos Co OR (hep_. To them was born George Washington DUNLAP 23 Sept 1890 at Eagle Point (hep). George married 22 Oct 1928 Mable Jane ROACH of Ashland and moved to Shasta Co. CA where he died 1 Oct 1976 (hep).

Thus, he might have married Emma 1910 and married Laura after a divorce. Emma is in the 1910 census index as Emma Torbert (c1910) and is alone in O'Neal township, San Joaquin County both 1920 and1930. In 1920, she is listed as married (c1920) but in 1930, as divorced (c1930). For some reason, Emma is listed three times in the death index under the names Dunlap, Dunlaptorbert, and Torbert (di). Perhaps whoever provided the information for the certificate was not that familiar with her, thus also the apparent error in birth year (cms).
