There was a Carl Els. The picture of this person made in Stendal, Sachen, Preusen, Germany, Brietestrasse 7. His address in Stendal: Stendal Altmark, Briete St. 54 II. A letter was sent July 22, 1902-9? from Carl to Henry in Brenham. The only piece remaining has his seal on the back: C Els/Stendal. This is similar to the one Henry had with H Els. Carl's address had been written on the inside of the envelope. He was a train engineer. The Probate of Henry's parents did not indicate he was a child of theirs. Possibly an uncle, etc.?
