In the July 1998 online newsletter, we presented Cousin Shirley's photographic article about Sarah Angeline Self, b. 3 Mar. 1861, AR and d. 11 Jan 1941, AR. As a follow-up, she has provided us with copies of selected pages relating to Sarah (Self) Shropshire's application for the pension due her as a result of the service of her husband, John A. Shropshire, in the Confederacy during the Civil War.
