CHILD BY FIRST WIFE:
Born about 1736 in VA. He served as a Sergeant in the French and Indian War, for which service he received a tract of 200 acres of land in Virginia. He sold this land and bought land in Lincoln County, KY but probably never moved there. He was in Louisa County, VA. until at least 1786. He m. (1) Hannah Lampkin; and (2) 1796 in Rockingham County, VA., Margaret Roach, widow.

Born before 1743. He served in the French and Indian War. He m. Oct. 16, 1763 in King George or Stafford County, VA., Elizabeth Gravat and went to Caroline County, VA.
Born about 1735. Died after 1793. He m. about 1755 in NC, Anne Hudson.
Born 1742, probably in Mecklenburg County (former Orange County) where he lived in 1781. Although he wasn’t listed in the NC Census of 1790, he was in Cabarrus County, NC by 1800. He m. about 1770 Elizabeth ---.
Born 1760. He m. Mary ---, b. 1760.

Born about 1740, probably in VA. Died after 1807. Went to NC with his family and appears there in public records in 1761. Lived in Chatham and Anson Counties, NC. and went to Bourbon County, KY. He m. ---. (There may actually be 2 Vincent Selfs, and we may have mistakenly combined them...)
Born about 1751, probably in Orange County, NC. Willoughby was in Bute County in 1771. He owned land in Warren County, NC between 1772 and 1782. He served as both a juror and grand juror in Franklin County, NC in 1786. The 1790 census lists him in Wake County, NC. He m. May 12, 1806 in Orange County, NC., Hannah Blackwood.
Born before 1756, probably in NC. Died about 1806 in Chatham County, NC. He m. Mary Martha Thompson, b. 1751 in Brunswick, VA., daughter of William and Hannah (Bell) Thompson.
Born 1753 in NC. Bradley Self lived in Chatham and Orange Counties, NC. He went with his son to Smith County, TN in 1823 and then to DeKalb County, TN in 1837. He m. ---.
