" 'NO SELF-SUPPORT. The young wife of Wesley Self prosecuted him
in the city court yesterday for failing to support their 16 months-old
child. The case was heard before Judge Ross without a jury. Witnesses
for the plaintiff testified that Mrs. Self and her babe were compelled
to live on the charity of relatives. The defense proved that Self was
physically unable to earn a support for himself, and that he could not
be expected to support the Self family. He was acquitted.'
