THOMAS D. KING (Thomas-Johannes-Jacob-Abraham) was widely known throughout the Lehigh Valley and the Delaware Val¬ley as a professor of penmanship. He was born in Lower Saucon township, Northampton County, Pa., 23 Apr. 1841. In 1870 he moved to Easton, Pa., where he was a teacher in the public schools of South Easton. For a number of years he also taught in the schools of Williams twp. and Lower Saucon twp. and later conducted schools for penmanship in various towns of the Lehigh Valley. Under his brother Stephen he served as deputy Recorder of Deeds for Northampton County. For nearly a score of years he suffered with writer's palsy. He was a member of Columbia Lodge, No. 136, I.O.O.F. of Easton and Bethlehem Lodge, No. 283, Free and Accepted Masons. He married Elizabeth A. Shimer, known as Eliza Shimer, daughter of William and Elizabeth Shimer. She was b. about 1844 and d. 18 Aug. 1928. During the Civil War he served as Corporal in Company C., 153 Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was mustered in 8 Oct. 1862 and was captured at Gettysburg 1 July 1863. He d. 22 Aug. 1908.******

Mrs. Sarah A. Campbell, widow of Edwin Campbell, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Erwin Seifert, of Hellertown, at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, of complications, aged 80 years, 5 months and 25 days.
Mrs. Campbell was born october 8, 1844, a daughter of the late Samuel and May Reichard. Besides Mrs. Seifert there survive one other daughter, Mrs, Anna Rinnker, of Allentown, and two sons, William, of Springtown, and Terry of Easton, also nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
NOTE: The surviving son identidied as Terry is actually named Carey.

She was born October 8, 1844 in Springtown. They had four children. Edward Campbell died November 25, 1909 in Springtown. He is buried in Springtown Cemetery.
A daughter Maude E. Campbell, born March 28, 1879, married Edwin F. Seifert, born in Lower Saucon Township. He was a resident of Hellertown PA employed by the Bethlehem Steel Company.

Edward Campbell died at his late residence at Springtown, Thursday evening, aged 69 years. His widow, two sons, William of Springtown, and Carey, of Durham, two daughters, Mrs. Erwin Seifert and Mrs. E. Rinker, Lower Saucon, and two brothers, John, of Williamsport, and Rev. George Campbell, Quakertown, survive. Mr. Campbell for years had a market gardener's stall at South Bethlehem market. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning and proceed to Springfield Church, where a service will be held. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining.

Born in Northampton County, Mr. Seifert was a son of the late Wilson and Elizabeth Reichard Seifert. He was a member of St. Thomas Evangelical Reformed Church, of Macada.

Seifert, of Fountain Hill, died Thursday morning in the Allentown Hospital, aged 70 years. The funeral will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. Services will be held at the home. Interment will be made in Salisbury Cemetery. Born October 28, 1852, in Williams Township, deceased was a son of William and Matilda Kunsman Seifert. The widow and the following children survive Mrs. Elroy Fox, of Fountain Hill; Mrs. Francis Tressler, of Fountain Hill; Mrs. Stanley Sigler, of Fountain Hill; Claude, of Fountain Hill; Ellwood, of Bethlehem; also a sister, Mrs. Erwin Hess, of Fountain Hill, and two brothers, Titus, of Fountain Hill, and Henry, of Bethlehem.
