250 Years of The Sloyer-Schloyer-Schleyer-Scheier Family by Linda M. Klosek-Page 465 & 466 lists the information for William SHIMER m1 to Susan SEIFERT & m2 Elizabeth SLOYER. We have a death date for Susan as Feb. 6, 1852 and a birth for her son as Oct. 1852 - I studied Susannah Seifert Shimer's grave stone on Kevin Frankenfield's site and the dates are definitely as we have them. I then looked at Jerome Shimer's baptism in the Old Williams recored. It says 1853 for baptism and Oct 1852 for birth but I think that is the error. Note they are in baptism order which would between Nov 1852 and April 1853. I think Susannah was dead, her mother was the sponsor. There are no dates given and I would bet it was a error on the pastor's part and he did not want to press the grieving family for details?
