Marcellous Denton Maxey,son of Lewis H. Maxey and Elizabeth Beckner, was born in Montgomery County,Virginia February 5, 1887. He married Rosa Belle Graham December 3,1908. Rosa, the daughter of Charley and Sarah Graham,was born May 10,1883 and died May 30,1917.

Marcellous and Rosa had three children Teresa Rosabelle,Marshall Lewis and George Washington Maxey.

Teresa Rosabelle, my Grandmother, was born June 10, 1910 in Roanoke County,Virginia and she died May 15,1984 in Salem Virginia. Teresa married Roy Lee Hickson July 7, 1930 in Roanoke County, Virginia,son of David Hickson and Julie Gearhart.He was born February 12,1904 and died April 29,1961 in Roanoke County,Virginia.

Marshall Lewis was born August 13,1912 and died November 1 1984 in Springfield, Ohio.Marshall married Goldie May Beverly December 13,1933 in Richmond Indiana, daughter of Andrew Beverly and Hattie Sumner.She was born May 26,1902 and died April 16,2003.

George Washington was born May 24,1914 and died September 11,1970 in Roanoke County, Virginia. George married Geneva Sue Carrol.
