George Albert Higham was born in December 1883 in Kirkdale Liverpool and lived in 10 Tudor Street,West Derby. He married Elizabeth Ann Cheetham about 1905.George enlisted in the South Lancashire Regiment on April 22,1915 and was given Army number 18777.He was killed in action April 5 1916.

Elizabeth Ann Cheetham,know to the family as Nanna Jackson, was born July 20,1887.She married George Albert Higham. After the death of George, Elizabeth married Ernest Jackson.Ernest Jackson worked on the RMS Gloucester Castle. He went down with the ship July 15,1942.

George and Elizabeth had 5 children,Elizabeth,William,George,Eileen and Edna.
Elizabeth and Earnest had one child. Olive was born November 11,1917.
