  ll I know is that he was born in 1798, and left a considerable wealth. I
  have found no record that Nancy ever married a Scroggins. The Buckner whom
  her daughter, Malinda married, was my ancestor,married John Buckner, son of
  Presley Buckner of KY. Thanks for the information - we still keep plodding
  along on it because it is so frustrating to have something like that with no
  answer.
