William and Anton Schulte's
Bloomfield Years

In deep appreciation of the research work that Judy Carlson did for our family, I am including photos that she sent to me for inclusion on this page. These photos seem to be taken with a digital camera and are scanned as received from Judy.

Pictured center is the business that Anton and William Schulte operated while in Nebraska. Apparently they operated a pool hall and restaurant. It currently is a gift shop and beauty shop with living quarters in the back. Deed records indicated William bought this building for $3,500 on February 10, 1909.

Home purchased by William Schulte. Please note: William and Josephine were not united in marrage until January 10, 1910. It is located directly behind where the pool was. This home was purchased October 4th, 1909 for $1,600 by William Schulte. This home is located at lot 3 and 4 in block number 1 in Origional Town of Bloomfield. This home is later sold for $1,800 on December 17, 1915. William and Anna Schulte are listed on the sale of the home, Jospehine has passsed away January 26, 1914. William and Anna were married in Westphalia Sept 7, 1915.

Origional home of Anton and Regina Schulte. This photo dates back about 30 years ago, and shows the origional structure of Anton and Regina's home in Bloomfield. It is believed that the addition to the right was not part of the origional structure.

Apparently there was a parcel of land in rural Bloomfield purchased November 8th, 1908 where Anton and Willian purchased, and later rented out. After Anton's death, William and Josephine Schulte released their interest in the land on September 16, 1911 to the estate of Anton Schulte for a sum of $1 and other good and valuable consideration. This land was located in the south east quarter of section seven in township 30 on range 3 west of the sixth p.m.
