Served in Prussian Army. Came to Wisconsin. Farmed all his life. Originally in Menekaunee area and then bought land out Hall Avenue on Highway 64. A very stern man. Supposedly had his wife pull the plow. Two daughters – a great disappointment – needed sons to help on farm. Both son-in-laws farmed and land was divided at his death. 1
