In 1930 census I found a Meta Kamin divorced with child Mary E. Kamin 7-yrs old. They lived in Milwaukee Ward 18. She was an operator at a Beauty Parlor. ²

Meta married Arthur Albert William Kamin, son of Herman Louis Ludwig Kamin and Sophia Zebuhr, on 26 Jun 1920 in Marinette, Marinette, Wisconsin, USA.^{1 2} (Arthur Albert William Kamin was born on 24 Aug 1894 in Marinette, Marinette, Wisconsin, USA,⁷ died on 13 Feb 1976 in Marinette, Marinette, Wisconsin, USA ⁷ and was buried on 16 Feb 1976 in Marinette, Marinette, Wisconsin, USA ⁷.)

I've been working on my family genealogy and ran across your page on Ancestry.com/Rootsweb.

Arthur Kamin was my great-uncle, his sister, Elizabeth was my grandmother. His parents, Herman and Sophia are buried here in Milwaukee. You might want to correct the info on them -- Herman was born in Germany in Oct 1870, died in Milwaukee in 1949, and is buried at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee, Sophia nee Zebuhr was born in Germany on July 24, 1871 and died in April 1945, also buried at Valhalla.

Meta and Mary did live down her in Milwaukee, my mom remembers visiting with them. She did run a beauty salon here. Mary Elizabeth married John Willard Olsen and had a son John Thomas Olson. Mary passed away Sept 1977 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. John passed away Oct 1977 in Minneapolis, Minnesota as well.

I've found Herman's father (full name) and his mother's first name. I know that Arthur's father, Herman, was an only child. I've found nothing yet on the Zebuhrs. I was wondering how far back you've been able to go, it there's any info you could share with me? Likewise, if there's information I can help you with, I'd be happy to do what I can.

Arthur's parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers all moved down here to Milwaukee. Elizabeth was my grandmother (lived with us for a number of years after grandpa's death) Margaret, the oldest of Arthur's siblings, never married and lived with Herman and Sophie until there deaths, Richard and Robert (the only one who spelled the family name "Kamine") lived here in the Milwaukee Metro area as well. I'd met and known them all. Was especially close with Uncle Dick and Aunt Margaret.
