Hello! Visited your site for the first time; I'm sorry that the books about the Shrum family, which sound very detailed, are out of print. (I can't actually afford them right now, anyway, but I would be interested in obtaining them sometime. Any plans to reprint?) I'm a descendant of Catherine (Kitty) Shrum (ca. 1814-ca. 1859), dau. of Nicholas Shrum of NC and Mary Ann (Polly) Deck; Kitty m. Frederick M. Myers (1815-1876). They had 10 (maybe 11)children, and their last, Franklin Myers (1859-1926), is my mom's gran father. Fred and Kitty lived in north-central Bollinger County, Mo., right on the border with Perry Co. I'm still trying to collect information on all their descendants (after over 20 years!)

While attending the reunion this past weekend (July 26), I got your card, the newsletter, and lots of commitments to update the rec rds (and hopefully some history) for our line. This was all brought about by a recent phone call from John L. Shrum out in Nevada, who was trying to wrap up his work on the family. I understand he attended the recent Westmoreland reunion, and I'm regret ing that I was not aware of it or would have been there myself.
