...I don't know much about my SHERRILL line except that I descend from MALICIA HENRIETTA SHERRILL who married SAMUEL WALLACE COOPER (oops, I have to get the dates, I know), in Alabama, and had a son, EUIN PENDLETON COOPER (1857).

I am searching for information on MARTHA VICTORIA SHERRILL (1848 - 1925). She was married to JONAS FRANKLIN ARNEY (1845 - 1941), and resided for some time in SW VA (Lee Co)....but I am fairly confident that she was from NC.
