Father of Dr. Frederick J. Steele. Born January 25, 1916 in Binghamton, NY he 
was the son of Leon and Jean Steele. He died March 9, 1999 at the age of 83 
years of cancer. 
 
A retired school teacher from Wapakoneta, OH, he was a veteran of WW II, the 
Korean War and Vietnam War. He steadfastly served his country, his family, 
his students and his community. 
 
Having resided with his son, Fred and family over the last four months, he 
died in peace under the loving care and devotion of all of his family 
members. Husband of Anna (Brix) Steele. Father of Richard who resides in 
Cincinnati, OH; Anna Martinez of Madrid, Spain; Martin of Melbourne, FL; and 
Frederick of Brookfield, WI. Grandfather of Euridice, Alexander, Daniel, 
Arthur, Laura (children of Anna); Benjamin (son of Frederick); Jenna and 
Addie (daughters of Martin).
