Hudson, John Joseph 
 
Was born in Ironwood, Michigan on March 26, 1902, the son of Matthew and Nina 
Hudson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith and after 
graduation from High School he attended Marquette University where he graduated 
as Valedictorian, PHi Beta Kappa in 1925. In August of 1928 in Menomonie, 
Michigan he was united in marriage to Frances Kreuz. From 1929 until 1964 he 
was Vice President of Badger Paint. In 1930 he and Frances moved to Wauwatosa, 
Wisconsin where they remained until 1992 when they moved to Amery to be near 
their daughter. John was a member of the Wauwatosa Kiwinis Club and St. Jude's 
Parish. John died at the Willow Ridge Nursing Car Facility in Amery, Wisconsin 
on Monday December 7, 1998 at the age of 96 years. 
 
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Frances and his brother 
Matthew. Left to celebrate his life are his daughter Joanie, Mrs. Dan Byrnes of 
Amery, Wisconsin and his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well 
as other relatives and friends. 
 
The funeral mass for John Hudson will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 
in Amery, Wisconsin on Friday December 11, 1998 at 6:00 PM with Father John 
Drummy and Deacon Bud Heiser officiating. Acting as casketbearers are Robert 
Byrnes, John Byrnes, Timothy Byrnes, Kevin Byrnes, James Byrnes, and Brian 
Byrnes. Interment in the Amery Cemetery with the Williamson Funeral Home of 
Amery, Wisconsin in charge of the arrangements.

Jim was an alumnus of Milwaukee Country Day School, Class of 1935; 
Princeton University, Class of 1939 and Harvard University Business School, 
Class of 1941. He was an Army 1st Lieutenant, WW II Armed Forces and retired 
from Kemper Securities in 1974. 
 
Member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church and Vestry; Life Member of Knight's Club.

Age 57 of Waupun died Sunday evening at her home after a year long bout with 
cancer. 
 
She was born August 1, 1941 in Milwaukee the daughter of William and Dorothy 
Luedtke McPeek. She is survived by her husband Thomas Zerbel of Waupun, two 
sons Timothy (Bonnie) Zerbel of Oak Creek and Joel (Debra) Zerbel of Fond du 
Lac. Four granddaughters Marissa, Jena, Samantha, and Sarah. Her mother Dorothy 
McPeck of Holiday, Florida. Two sisters Patricia (John) Ford of Dade City, 
Florida and Jacquelyn (Steve) Bader of Johnson City, Tennessee. 
 
Memorial services for Margo Zerbel will be held on Thursday evening at 7:30 PM 
at the Union-Congregational Church in Waupun with Dr.

Zinniel, Walter C. 
 
Funeral Services will be on Friday for Walter C. "Walt" Zinniel of the town of 
Genesee. He died on Monday, December 7, 1998 at his home at the age of 80 
years. He was born on August 21, 1918 in Norwood, Ohio. 
 
Throughout his career, he was an industrial engineer and management consultant 
in metal trades and service industries. He was the founder/president of General 
Products Corporation and served on various company boards as a director. He 
presented numerous seminars on profitable management techniques in the midwest 
states. 
 
When he retired in 1973, he was vice president of Orion Corporation in Grafton. 
He then moved full time to Duck Key, Florida where he founded and was president 
of Promano Corp., investing in oceanfront properties. For 15 years he resided 
in Duck Key and spent the fall and summers in Wisconsin at home in Genesee and 
Thunder Lake, Crivitz. 
 
He was a life member of the Glen L. Humphrey Masonic Lodge 3641 in Dousman, a 
former member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg, a life member 
of the Waukesha Gun Club, former member of the Milwaukee Athletic Club and was 
a past president of the Duck Key Property Owners Association. His hobbies 
included fishing, hunting, golf and flying. 
 
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Helen "Mickey" (nee Barker); their son, 
John (Gayle) Zinniel of North Prairie; daughters, Trudi (Ted) Marino of 
Saukville and Mary "Mimi" Zinniel of Louisville, KY and five grandchildren. He 
will also be missed by his three sisters: Donna Blom of New Berlin, Jacqueline 
(Dennis) Price of Brookfield and Heidi (Chris) Mugler of Durango, CO. Other 
relatives and friends also survive. 
 
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Friday at the Randle-Dable 
Funeral Home, 1110 South Grand Avenue, Waukesha. The Memorial Service 
will be held there at 2 PM. Memorial gifts in his name are appreciated to 
Waukesha Memorial Hospital Heart Care Center, 725 American Avenue, Waukesha WI 53188.
