employed by Krambo-Kroger as head cashier for many years. After retiring, she 
served as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital in the coffee shop for several 
years. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Survivors 
include her husband William J. Lyles; 2 sons, Harold N. (Bernice) Berth, New 
Berlin and Robert G. (Nancy) Berth, Waukesha; and a daughter, the late Sheila

Wilson, Grace M. 
 
Of Milwaukee. Age 79 years. Died Tues. June 10, 1997 at her summer home in 
Brule, WI. She was born Oct. 30, 1917 in Milwaukee. She graduated from 
Milwaukee Downer Seminary and Bouve Boston College and was a physical 
therapist at Colombia Hospital in Milwaukee. 
 
She married Francis C. Wilson and left work to raise the children. She later 
received a teaching degree from the University of WI-Milwaukee and taught in 
Downer College and Milwaukee Public Schools until her retirement. She enjoyed 
skiing, tennis, her children, and summers on the Brule River. 
 
Mrs. Wilson was a member of North Shore Congregational Church in Milwaukee. 
 
She is survived by 2 sons, Francis (Jacqueline) Wilson, Milwaukee and Douglas 
(Bedrishah) Wilson, Aspen, CO; 1 daughter, Susie (Greggar) Isaksen, Brule; 3 
grandchildren; 1 sister, Katherine Osborn, Brule; a niece; 1 nephew; and a 
daughter-in-law, Barbara Wilson of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by a 
son, Curteus Wilson, and a brother, Stuart Markham Jr. 
 
A joint memorial service will be held for Mrs. Wilson and her brother, Stuart 
Markham Jr., at 3:15 PM Sat. in the family home on the Brule River, where 
visitation begins at 2:30 PM. 
 
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society. 
Arrangements are being handled by the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 
Superior, WI.
