Age 92, born in Muscoda, WI on June 29, 1905 and passed away on Saturday, 
December 13, 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Mary (Nee Bolger) 
and his oldest son Delbert P. Nachazel Jr. MD. He is survived by Del Jr's 
widow, Marlene (Nee Shane-Nachazel) Radke, Naples, FL, sons Vandy (Dorothy) 
Nachazel, Greenville, TN and Dr. John (Susan) Nachazel, Pacific Palisades, 
CA. Daughter Jane Mary Nachazel, Los Angeles, CA, 10 grandchildren, 7 great 
grandchildren and a special friend Marion Luick. Dr. Nachazel was a 1928 
graduate of the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He practiced in 
Milwaukee from 1928 to 1985, taught at the Dental School from 1944 to 1971, 
served as the Head of the Department of Periodontics from 1958 to 1962 and 
was appointed Clinical Professor Emeritus in 1971. He was a Diplomat of the 
American Board of Periodontalogy, a Fellow of the American and International 
College of Dentists, Past President of the Marquette University Alumni 
Association, Milwaukee Dental Forum, Milwaukee County Dental Society and the 
Midwest Society of Periodontalogy and recipient of the Marquette University 
Alumni Association's 1987 Merit Award. Dr. Nachazel was a leader in the field 
of reconstructive dentistry and spearheaded the drive to add fluoride to the 
drinking water in Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin. Services pending.
