Sixth Generation
25.
Mary Kolb was born on 16 Jan 1843 in Gundelshausen (Nr.6),
Bavaria, Germany. Mary Kolb (original: Anna Maria Kobler) is born
on January the 16th 1843 in Gundelshausen (Nr.6). She is illegitimate. Her father
is Simon Brunner from Viehhausen. Viehhausen is a small town in the Parish of
Eilsbrunn. Her mother is Mary Anna Kobler form Gundelshausen.
Later she(Mary Anna Kobler) married Jacob Joseph Kolb on March the 26th 1846
in Kapfelberg. Jacob Joseph Kolb also had an illegitimate child. I found the
child Anna Maria, who was born August the 15th 1840 in Kapfelberg and died August
the 22nd 1840 in Kapfelberg. Her mother is Anna Maria Brunner, gamekeepers-daughter
from Viehhausen. Maybe she is related with Simon Brunner.
She was living on 27 Dec 1900 in Nora Springs, Floyd, IA. She died
on 16 Dec 1917. She was buried in St. Benedict Cemetery, St. Benedict,
Kossuth, IA. According to information by Genevieve Miller Mahoney,
Mary is listed at age 17 at the time of the 1860 Wisconsin census and Joseph
is listed at age 2. This is in contrast with the information by Karl Kolb, which
states Mary born Jan 16 1848 and Joseph born in 1856. More conflict: Information
from the Eisenbarth family history shows Mary born 1/16/1840 in Ropfelberg, Germany,
and died 1/16/1917 in Iowa.
1880 census that Jacob and Andrew Kolb appear in is also between them Anton and
Mary Eisenbarth family. Although, the name appears to be spelled Eisengberg.
1880 indexed as FRINGBERG.
