Friday, Feb 19, 1993 at Columbus Community Hospital. The funeral was held on
Monday, Feb 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Columbus, with
Father Edward Hussli officiating. Burial was in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Columbus.
Mrs. Plantenberg was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Beaver Dam to Agid and Anna (Kolb)
Miller. She married Ralph Plantenberg on July 24, 1944, in Beaver Dam. Mrs.
Plantenberg was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Altar Society and
Prayer Group. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a graduate
of Beaver Dam High School.
She is survived by four daughters, Susan (Frank) Koboski, Pewaukee, Wis.,
Lorraine (Dennis) Colotti, Fall River, Wis., Mary(Robert) Metzger, Columbus,
Amy (Joseph Jr.) Mayr, Columbus; three sons, Charles (Ann) Plantenberg, Capistrano
Beach, Calif., Gerald (Denise) Plantenberg, Monroe, Wis., John(Karen) Plantenberg,
Columbus; 15 grandchildren; three brothers, Norbert (Esther) Miller, Beaver Dam,
Carl(Marie) Miller, Beaver Dam, Robert(Lorraine) Miller, Green Bay, Wis.; one
sister, Genevieve Mahoney, Suring, Wis., nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Angela Lee,
four brothers, Arnold, Andrew, Raymond, and George, and her husband, Ralph, who
died in 1984. Friends called the Zeidler-Murray Funeral Home, Columbus, on Sunday,
Feb. 21. Memorials to the Audobon Society would be appreciated. She was buried
on 22 Feb 1993 in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Columbus, Columbia, WI.

OBIT -- COLUMBUS -- Ralph E. Plantenberg, 61, Route 2, Columbus, died Wednesday,
Feb. 29, 1984, in Crown Point, Ind. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday from St. Columbkille Catholic Church, in the Town of Elba, with the
Rev. Joseph Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr.
Plantenberg was born on March 28, 1922, in Crofton, Neb., the son of John T.
and Mathilda (Hegge) Plantenberg. He was married to Anna Mae Miller on July
24, 1945, in Beaver Dam. He came to the Columbus area from Nebraska in 1936.
He was the former owner of Vet's Auto Body Shop in Columbus for 20 years and
the former owner of the Town Tap for 18 years. He was a veteran of World War
II and a German prisoner of war. He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic
Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Columbus VFW Post 8090. Survivors include
his wife, his mother, Mathilda Plantenberg, Columbus; four daughters, Sue (Frank)
Koboski, Pewaukee; Lorraine (Dennis) Colloti, Fall River; Mary (Robert) Metzger
and Amy Plantenberg, Columbus; two brothers, Harold (Maureta), Beloit; Cletus
(Noreen), Wonewoc, Wis.; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
father, one daughter, Angela, and a infant brother. Friends may call from 6
to 9 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home, Columbus. There will be a combined parish
and Knights of Columbus Rosary today at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
