U.S. Government, Twelfth Census Of The United States: 1900. The 1900 Wisconsin
Federal Census shows Jacob Karl, along with his wife Anna, and daughters Catherine
and Francis. They emigrated from Germany in 1855, and were naturalized that
year. They had been married for 53 years prior to the time of the census, June
2, 1900. Jacob's parents were born in Germany. He owned his house free and clear
in Beaver Dam, WI. The Karls had 11 children, with 7 still living at the time
