Phoebe Marshall

Mrs. Phoebe Marshall, one of the oldest and best known residents of Perryville died there Wednesday at the home of her nephew, James Austin, where she had been taken from her own home following a paralytic seizure of a month ago. Mrs. Marshall was 83 years old. She was the daughter of David Hodge and was born in Perryville. Her early life was spent in the family of George Freeman at Oak Hill. Following his death she married Charles Marshall, who resided west of Perryville on the Chitenango Falls road. Mr. Marshall died about a year after the marriage and his widow removed to Perryville.

The funeral will be held at the home of James Austin this Friday at 1 p.m. The services will be in charge of the Rev. Mr. Mespell and Rev. Mr. Andrews of Perryville and burial will be in the Perryville cemetery.
