Instructions

Participation:

To participate in Y-DNA Molyneaux Surname Project you must be a male. Y-DNA is passed only from father to son. Your surname must be one of the variants of Molyneaux.

Kits:

To order a kit, please click here. This will take you to the page for the Molyneaux Surname Project at FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA). At the bottom of this page you will see spaces for placing your order. Fill out the blanks and be sure to go to the second page where you will find space to insert your credit card information. Be sure to click on submit only one (1) time. Be sure to include your e-mail address so that your results may be sent to you by e-mail.

I have no problem doing this for you but please be aware that it will slow down the mailing of the kit to you. I will hold all orders until my bank notifies me that your check has been cleared. You may also use a money order, if you wish.

International participants should arrange to order the kit directly from FamilyTreeDNA due to fluctuating currency exchange rates.

It is not necessary to send me an e-mail when you have ordered your kit or when you receive your results. I am automatically notified as the group administrator.

Kit Instructions:

Please follow the instructions carefully. When I did mtDNA testing (female line only), I used Vial A and scraped the inside of one cheek. When it was time to do the second vial (B), I scraped the inside of the other cheek.
Sign the release form and return it with the two vials. If you do not sign the release form then I will not receive the results of your test and you will not be able to see if there are other matches in the FTDNA database.

Testing Markers:

Testing can be done for 12-, 25-,37-,(recommended) or 67- markers. By ordering through the Molyneaux Surname Project you will get a discounted rate.
