Seiler / Saylor, etc who are named in the Ship lists of Philadelphia

There are 3 original sources of information involving these ship lists. The first is the (A) Captain's list, second the (B) Oath of Allegiance list and thirdly the (C) Oath of Abjuration list. Up to three names are given, in the order A, B and C depending on what lists survived. Note that the spelling of names can vary between the lists.  The word "none' means the list did not survive for that ship. The symbol (x) indicates that a clerk wrote the name and the emigrant made a mark.

The three possible versions of the names recorded below come from the excellent book, Pennsylvania German Pioneers, Ralph Beaver Strassburger and edited by William John Hinke, 1934, 2 Vols, Reprinted Baltimore Genealogical Publishing Company, 1966 and 1975 [TRL 325.748 S76]

The web sites that are indicated also have a list for that ship but sometimes the spelling is different from Strassburger. The ship list reference by I. Daniel Rupp titled A Collection of Upwards of Thirty Thousand Names of German, Swiss, Dutch, French And Other Immigrants in Pennsylvania from 1727 to 1776 published in 1876 has been superseded by the above work.

The Olive Tree is a wonderful site that searches most of the ship list web pages.
