The Prince Edward County Archives is in Wellington, having moved from the old County Courthouse in Picton in 2008.  

Documents from the archives below have been transcribed with permission from archivist at the time. Thanks to Pam Noxon and the many other volunteers for their help and support.

Merton Yarwood Williams (1883 - 1974)
Merton Y Williams had a brilliant career as a geologist and academic at the University of  British Columbia. He had an interest in genealogy and collected and authored family works. In 2008, Anne E Williams, niece of Merton, donated two binders and other loose material that belonged to the Prince Edward Archives. Most of the material has been scanned and made available below.

Transcribed books Below are some of the account books and ledgers held by the archives. Account books are difficult to transcribe as they often had multiple uses and later additions but they are useful to locate a person in a location and at a certain date.
