In the Name of God Amen! I Wm Hubbard, of the County of Amelia and State of Virginia, being weak in body but sound in mind do make and ordain this to be my last will, and testament in manner and form following.

Item the first, I give to my wife Sophia Hubbard, the following Negroes Viz one Negro named John Do one named Jacob one Negro woman Named Betsy and her five children to wit - James Melvern Ann Amanda and Jordan with all the increase I give to my [wife] Sopha [sic] Hubbard on horce [sic] named Jeff one feather bedstid [sic] and furniture 2 white counterpens [sic] one milk Cow and her calf 20 bushels Wheat ten barrels Corn of the present growing crop my Books c[he]rs & [se]ting chers [sic] all my earthenware and glass some cooking utensills [sic] and Family Bible[s] one side [side] I give to my daughter P. C. Hubberd [sic] one hors [sic] named Boston used all my [Ham_____] and Caps and buggy and g[r]een & Silver tea, spoons & c

I give to my son Wm W Hubbard, one colt named Dolphin, one shot gun as a compen[sh]on of for s[ever]s to be rendered till the 25 of December next

I give to my grand Daughter Catharine J Hubberd [sic] of Al[ebama] one hundred dollars to be raised out of [_____] estate I give to my grand Daughter Virginia M Hubberd [sic] one set of silver tablespoons

My will and desire is that all the ballence [sic] of my estate both real and personal shall be equally divided between my 4 children Viz J. E. Hubberd [sic], W W Hubberd [sic], Mary A. E. Smithy and Permelia C Hubbard

I appoint Mr Ma[rs]ton Foster my Executor to this my last will and testament
