In the name of God amen I David Farmer of the County of Halifax do make and ordain this as my last Will and testament and I do hereby [_____] revoke and disannul all other wills heretofore by me made. Imprimis I lend unto my beloved wife Jane Farmer my land and plantation whreeon I now live with all of my stock of every kind, household and kitchen furniture during her natural life. Item I give unto my son Obadiah Farmer my land and plantation where on now live to him and his heirs forever after the death of his mother Jane Farmer. Item I give unto my grandson Henry, one feather bed to him and to his heirs forever. Item my will and desire is [sic]
Item I give unto my grand daughter Polly Farmer one feather bed to her and to her heirs forever. Item my will and desire is that all the rest of my Estate that is not mentioned may be equally divided between Hannah East Ruth Farmer, and my gran [sic] daughter Polly Ragland to them and to their heirs forever. Item I constitute make and ordain Obadiah Farmer Executor of this my last will and testament. In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of December 1825.

At a Court held for Halifax County the 23rd day of August 1831 The within written last will and testament of David Farmer deceased was exhibited in Court and proved by the oath of one of the witnefses thereto subscribed and ordered to be certified, and at a court continued and held for the said County the 24th day of August 1831 the said will was further proved by the oath of one other Witnefs thereto subscribed and ordered to be recorded.
