Know all men by these presents that we George Corell and Peter Guerrant, Jr. are held and firmly bound unto David Campbell Esqr Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia and his succefsors in office, in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to which payment w[i]ll and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs executors & Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 7th day of February 1839.

The condition of the above obligations is such that whereas the above bound George Corell hath this day attained from the Clerk of Franklin County Court a licence [sic] for his intermarriage with Malinda Wimmer of said County. Now if there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
