Elizabeth Anderson, which occurred August 30, 1814, married Diadama Wimbush. No issue. He died May 13, 1840.
JAMES ANDERSON, M. D., first son of Rev. Thomas and Elizabeth Anderson, was born in South Carolina, March 3, 1803; married in Upson County, Ga., January 10, 1836, to Mrs. Priscilla Neal Gardner, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Jenkins) Beall, of Warren County, Ga., who was born June 28, 1810. Widow Gardner had borne one daughter and four sons to Sterling Gardner, her first husband.
The daughter, Elizabeth Gardner, having died previous to her last marriage. The names of the four sons were, Robert Beall Gardner, George Allen Gardner, Wesley Fletcher Gardner and Sterling Gardner, Jr. See Beall Ancestry.
The children of Dr. James and Priscilla Neal Anderson, one daughter and three sons:
1. Mary Alethea Anderson, born December 9, 1836.
2. Thomas Watkins Anderson, born September 19, 1838.
3. John Owen Anderson, born June 23, 1840; died aged 12 years.

After the death of his wife, which occurred January 23, 1854, Dr. James Anderson married, October 9, 1857, to Mrs. Amanda Elizabeth Smith, daughter of James and Eliza Neal. No issue. Dr. Anderson died in Union Parish, La., July 14, 1860.

MARY ALETHEA ANDERSON, only daughter of Dr. James and Prescilla {sic s/b Priscilla} N. Anderson, was born in Upson County, Ga., December 9, 1836. Graduated in the Wesleyan Female College, Macon, Ga., in 1853 or 1854; married December 19th, 1854, to Samuel Newton Braswell, of Newton and Houston Counties, Ga., a lawyer, who was born January 26, 1827. Issue nine children:
1. DeWitt Braswell, born November 19, 1855; died September 9, 1857.
2. James Williamson Braswell, born September 23, 1857; a Christian; died December 18, 1864.
3. Neal Beall Braswell, born October 20, 1861. {this is a female}
4. Mary Alethea Braswell, Jr., born June 6, 1864; died December 28, 1864.
5. Hermione Braswell, born March 12, 1866.
6. Samuel Ernest Braswell, born February 28, 1868.
7. Marvin Lamar Braswell, born June 2, 1872; died August 2, 1873.
8. Emma Annie Braswell.
9. Daisy Lucyle Braswell.
NEAL BEALL BRASWELL, their oldest daughter, was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, October 20, 1861; married in Dallas, Texas, April 21, 1887, to William Oscar Garrison, fine business man, who was born 1885. Issue six children:
1. Ray Braswell Garrison, born June 1, 1889; died April 6, 1906.
2. Samuel Clyde Garrison, born October 7, 1890; died March 13, 1892.
3. Lloyd Garrison, born March 25, 1892; died February 25, 1894.

4. Verne Alfred Garrison, born December 24, 1894.
5. Carl Oscar Garrison, born December 22, 1897.
6. Gwendolyn Alethea Garrison, born September 7, 1902.
HERMIONE BRASWELL, third daughter of Judge S. N. and M. A. Braswell, was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, March 12, 1866. Hermione grew up to womanhood in the city of Dallas, Texas. Her noble Christian character endeared her to all the citizens of Dallas, as evidenced by merchants and business men generally closing their draped doors to attend her burial, and it was said that the funeral procession was the largest known in the history of Dallas, up to that time. She never married; died July 31, 1886.
SAMUEL ERNEST BRASWELL, third son of Judge S. N. and M. A. Braswell, was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, February 28, 1868, entered the legal profession, with his father in Dallas, Texas, went out to Mexico in early manhood, was a civil engineer with United States Government Superintendent of Court of Panama Canal, also held high position with the Panamian {sic s/b Panamanian} Government about 1904. He died suddenly in the city of Mexico, Mexico, October 30, 1907.
EMMA ANNIE BRASWELL, fourth daughter of Judge S. N. and M. A. Braswell, a lady of refinement and culture stands high in her chosen profession, and for fifteen years or more, has held position in the High School of Dallas.

DAISY LUCYLE BRASWELL, their youngest daughter, also cultured and talented, is now one of the best stenographers of the city of Dallas, and her knowledge of business generally has secured her a fine position.
Mrs. Mary Alethea Braswell, of whom it has been said, "If she had a fault, it had never been discovered," was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, and lived the religion she professed. She died in Dallas, January 16, 1908. Judge Braswell, as he was called, feeble in his eighty-second year of age, survived only a few months after his wife's death. He died June 11, 1908. A Christian gentleman, generous to a fault.
THOMAS WATKINS ANDERSON, oldest son of Dr. James and Priscilla N. Anderson, was born in Upson County, Ga., September 19, 1838; educated in Emory College, Oxford, Ga. A model farmer, went to Louisiana before he was of age, and was successful in his calling. He married November 11, 1863, in Louisiana, to Margaret Ann McFaden, daughter of Thomas Hampton and Jane (Parks) McFadin, who was born in Kentucky, January 12, 1847. Issue nine children:
1. Jane Beall Anderson, born December 12, 1864.
2. George Gregory Anderson, born March 12, 1867; died an infant.
3. Eula Ruth Anderson, born September 8, 1868; died an infant.
4. Guy DeWitt Anderson, born November 21, 1870.
5. Owen Thomas Anderson, born December 4, 1872.
6. Lily Mae Anderson, born October 12, 1875.
7. Everett Lee Anderson, born October 12, 1877.

8. Emory McFadin Anderson, born August 3, 1881; died an infant.
9. Samuel Carl Anderson, born December 3, 1884; died an infant.
T. W. Anderson, a man of noble Christian character, a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, good Sunday school worker, influential man wherever he lived, removed to Kerr County, Texas. A merchant in Kerrville, where he died May 24, 1900.
JANE BEALL ANDERSON, oldest daughter of T. W. and M. A. Anderson, was born in Louisiana, December 24, 1864; married in Kerr County, Texas, January 20, 1889, to Charles Morris, who went born in Burr Oak, Michigan, June 14, 1853. Issue two children:
1. Otho Anderson Morris, born June 29, 1891.
2. Charles Albert Morris, born November 18, 1894.
GUY DeWITT ANDERSON, second son of T. W. and M. A. Anderson, was born in Union Parish, Louisiana, November 21, 1870; married in Kaufman, Texas, September, 1897, to Mamie Dillard, daughter of Judge Dillard, who was born February 24, 1877. Issue two children:
1. Leila Beall Anderson, born July 11, 1898.
2. Guy Dillard Anderson, born July 11, 1899.
OWEN THOMAS ANDERSON, third son of T. W. and M. A. Anderson, was born in Union Parish, Louisiana, December 4, 1872; married at Mineral Wells, Texas, December 18, 1896, to Cora Lowry, who was born October

2, 1872, and died in the city of Dallas, Texas, October 4, 1908, after giving birth to a still-born baby, October 2, 1908.
LILY MAE ANDERSON, third and youngest daughter of T. W. and M. A. Anderson, was born in Louisiana, October 12, 1875; married October 29, 1899, to Airs Gilmer Morriss, of Kerrville, Texas, who was born December 14, 1865. Issue four children:
1. Thomas Anderson Morriss, born January 15, 1901.
2. Gilmer Anderson Morriss, born August 10, 1903.
3. Margaret Ann Morriss, born August 30, 1906.
4. Lily Mae Morriss, Jr., born December 14, 1908.
EVERETT LEE ANDERSON, fourth son of T. W. & M. A. Anderson, was born in Louisiana, October 12, 1877. He grew up in the city of Kerrville, to manhood, was a well-rounded Christian young man, devoted to his aged parents. His conscientious treatment of all business transactions won for him many firm and lasting friends in his short career as a merchant. He had the confidence and esteem of all with whom he had to do. It seemed that "Death loved a shining mark." This noble young man died of typhoid fever, and we all know how he suffered, until October 22, 1907, when he fell on sleep.
GRANT JAMES ANDERSON, third and youngest son of Dr. James and Priscilla N. Anderson, was born in Upson County, Ga., November 3, 1842; married near White Sulphur Springs, Meriwether County, Ga., February 10,

1869, to Annie Eliza Fletcher, oldest daughter of Benajah J. and Catherine S. Fletcher, who was born August 1, 1846. Issue four sons and five daughters:
1. James Fletcher Anderson, born November 16, 1869.
2. Robert Crowder Anderson, born April 16, 1871; died November 11, 1900.
3. Emma Alethea Anderson, born September 24, 1874; died November 25, 1875.
4. Benajah Grant Anderson, born December 4, 1876.
5. Addie Beall Anderson, born January 19, 1879; died October 30, 1882.
6. Katie Athelena Anderson, born July 31, 1881.
7. Emory Thomas Anderson, born February 22, 1885.
8. Annie Neal Elizabeth Anderson, born October 9, 1887.
9. Antoinette Susan Anderson, born July 18, 1890.
BENAJAH GRANT ANDERSON, their third son, was born in Louisiana, December 4, 1876; married in Kansas City, Mo., March 24, 1906, to Sarah Ara Berkenmeier, who was born in the State of Kansas, February 22, 1876. Issue two children:
1. Annie Rosa Anderson, born March 1, 1907.
2. Martha Thelma Anderson, born November 17, 1908.
KATIE ATHELENA ANDERSON, third daughter of Grant J. and Annie E. Anderson, was born in Louisiana, July 31, 1881; married in Westminster, Texas, August 14, 1907, to Professor James Albert Giles, son of John Albert and Savannah Jane (Lewis) Giles, who was born in Alabama, December 18, 1874. Issue one daughter:
1. Thelma Margueritte Giles, still-born, December 14, 1908.
