REV. RICHARD ANDERSON COHRON, only son of D. H. and Eliza Cohron, married November 3, 1868, to Catherine J. Gayden. Issue by this union, one daughter:
1. Alberta J. Cohron.
After the death of his wife, Catherine, which occurred June, 1893, Rev. R. A. Cohron married, October 1901, to Mrs. Josephine Belle Ward, nee Harris. She had one child by Mr. Ward. No issue by the second marriage. Mrs. Ward was the oldest daughter of Thomas W. and Jane (Summers) Harris.
ALBERTA JANE COHRON, only child of Rev. R. A. and Catherine J. Cohron, married June, 1892, to E. B. Lowry. Issue two children:
1. Richard Cohron Lowry.
2. William Percy Lowry.
Rev. R. A. Cohron was a student in the University of Mississippi, which he left to enlist in the Confederate Army, and served till close of war, when he entered the Law Department of the Cumberland University, and was a graduate of same, with degree of L. B.; practiced law in county of his birth in Mississippi, but in the year 1874, he retired from law, to obey the divine call to preach.

Now pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church, in the city of Kerrville, having served many important places in Mississippi as pastor.
MARY ANDERSON, second daughter of James and Susan (Brown) Anderson, was born in Virginia, May 12, 1800; married July 2, 1818, to Willis Gorham, who was born in Massachusetts, or Connecticut, October 27, 1793. Issue ten children:
1. Polina C. F. Gorham, born October 1, 1821; died November 2.
2. George Clifford Gorham, born September 15, 1823.
3. Mary Eliza Ann Gorham, born February 16, 1825.
4. Comelia Lacy Gorham, born October 25, 1827.
5. Joseph Judson Gorham, born January 8, 1829; died January 2, 1856; unmarried.
6. James Anderson Gorham, born July 28, 1830.
7. Sarah Rome Gorham, born November 7, 1831; died in Cusseta, Ga., August 20, 1890; unmarried.
8. Susannah Brown Gorham, born August 8, 1833.
9. Willis Jackson Gorham, born February 5, 1835.
10. Anna Frances Gorham, born February 8, 1837; died in Box Spring, Ga., December 21, 1884; unmarried.
Mr. Willis Gorham and wife both died in Hamilton, Ga., He, May 6, 1851; she, November 2, 1879.

GEORGE CLIFFORD GORHAM, oldest son of Willis and Mary Gorham, was born September 15, 1823; married March 13, 1864, to Mrs. Sarah Ann Elizabeth Pope, nee Jones, who was born December 17, 1823. Issue one daughter:
1. Sarah Clifford Gorham, who was born March 1, 1865; married October 22, 1908, to John Daniel Browning, who was born June 11, 1848.
Mr. George C. Gorham died in Box Spring, March 1, 1903. His wife, Mrs. S. A. E. Gorham, died April 8, 1902.
MARY ELIZA ANN GORHAM, second daughter of Willis and Mary Gorham, was born February, 16, 1825; married May 4, 1847, to Theo L. S. Mitchell, who was born 1823. Issue three children:
1. Willis Jackson Mitchell, born March 17, 1849.
2. Georgia Virginia Mitchell, born July 1, 1852.
3. Claude Mitchell, born June 14, 1854.
WILLIS JACKSON MITCHELL, their oldest, a Baptist minister, married in Griffin, Ga., April 7, 1881, to Fannie Stephens, of Atlanta, Ga. He died in Marshall, Texas, leaving several children, names unknown. A daughter of his married a gentleman of Atlanta. Nothing further than this is known of his family. Claude Mitchell, their youngest son, was twice married, and lived in Alabama in 1888; know nothing further than this.

Lafayette Harpe, who was born April 3, 1851. Issue five children. Mrs. Harpe died March 13, 1884.
1. Willie Viola Harpe, born January 28, 1874; died May 6, 1876.
2. Clara Mae Harpe, born April 9, 1877.
3. Mayetta Harpe, born June 26, 1879; unmarried.
4. John Lafayette Mitchell Harpe, born October 9, 1880.

CLARA MAE HARPE, their oldest, married December 30, 1903, to Massey Thomas McDowell, of Lumpkin, Ga.
JOHN L. M. HARPE, their only son, married December 28, 1903, to Emma Brooks, of Quitman County, Ga., who was born 1885.
GEORGIA FLORENCE HARPE, their youngest, married April 28, 1907, to Matthew Lee Coleman, of Spring Vale, Georgia.
COMELIA LACY GORHAM, third daughter of Willis and Mary Gorham, was born October 25, 1827; married October, 1854, to John Wesley Murphey, of Hamilton, Ga., who was born about 1825. Issue three children. Mr. J. W. Murphey died in Hamilton, Ga., November 15, 1872; his wife died July 27, 1873.
1. Mary Penelope Murphey, born March 6, 1857.
2. Charles Ernest Murphy {sic ? s/b Murphey ?}, born July 29, 1858.
3. Walter Edgar Murphy {sic ? s/b Murphey ?}, born May 4, 1860.

Christopher Columbus Hawkins, now of Americus, Ga., who was born October 12, 1856. Issue two daughters:
1. Laura Christine Hawkins, born October 31, 1896; died August 15, 1897.
2. Mary Comelia Hawkins, born May 28, 1899.
DR. CHARLES ERNEST MURPHEY, oldest son of J. W. and C. L. Murphey, was born in Hamilton, Ga., July 29, 1858; married July 8, 1893, to Bennett Crawford, daughter of B. H. Crawford, of Columbus, Ga., who was born May 21, 1856. Issue one child:
1. Mary Crawford Murphey, born November 13, 1894. Now living in Atlanta, Ga.
WALTER EDGAR MURPHEY, now of Tucson, Arizona, youngest son of J. W. and C. L. Murphey, was born in Hamilton, Ga., May 4, 1860; married August 13, 1884, to Elizabeth Ella Bivins, of Pineville, Ga., who was born August 11, 1863. Issue seven children:
1. Carobel Murphey, born July 29, 1885.
2. Robert Bivens Murphey, born March 27, 1887.
3. Elizabeth Ella Murphy {sic ? s/b Murphey ?}, Jr. {sic}, born September 8, 1889.
4. Walter Edgar Murphey, Jr., born October 2, 1891.
5. Charles Ernest Murphey, Jr. {sic}, born September 3, 1894.

JAMES ANDERSON GORHAM, third son of Willis and Mary Gorham, was born July 28, 1830; married near LaGrange, Georgia, April 8, 1851, to Allie T. Truett. Issue several children. Names of only three known, viz:
1. Mary Elizabeth Gorham, born February 14, 1852; died January 13, 1877.
2. John Willis Gorham, born July 30, 1853.
3. William Anderson Gorham, born October, 1855.
Mr. J. A. Gorham was wounded while bravely defending his beloved South, in front of Petersburg, Va., and died of his wounds in the hospital, April, 1865.
SUSANNAH BROWN GORHAM, fifth daughter of Willis and Mary Gorham, was born August 8, 1833; married in Hamilton, Ga., July 27, 1854, to Dr. Robert Beall Gardner, who was born July 8, 1829. See their Record in Beall Ancestry.
COLONEL WILLIS JACKSON GORHAM, fourth and youngest son of Willis and Mary Gorham, was born in Harris County, Ga., February 5, 1835; married January 27, 1870, first marriage, to Mary Ethel Pope, who was born in Muscogee County, Ga., August 19, 1848. Issue two children:
1. Mary Ethel Gorham, Jr. {sic}, born May 8, 1871.
2. Florence Agnes Gorham, their youngest, born November 10, 1872; married, 1893, to Thomas L. Jenkins. Issue four children:
1. Louise Jenkins, born September 9, 1896.
2. Sarah Mae Jenkins, born April 6, 1898.
3. Ethel Jenkins, born July 18, 1903.
4. Nannie Tom Jenkins, born August 26, 1906.

MARY ETHEL GORHAM, their oldest, married, 1893, to Joseph T. Fielder, and died January 29, 1895. No issue.
After the death of his wife, Mary Ethel, which occurred January 23, 1877, Colonel Gorham married December 31, 1878, to Janie Crall, who was born September 15, 1855. Issue one son:
3. Paul Willis Gorham, born in Griffin, Ga., October 18, 1879; married Mary Johnson Erwin, who was born in Atlanta, Ga., August 18, 1884. Issue one daughter:
1. Martha Erwin Gorham, born June 14, 1905.
Colonel Gorham died December 26, 1886.
Reverend Thomas Anderson, ninth son of Jourdan and Mary Anderson, was born in Virginia, April 1, 1762, was married twice, first September 18, 1801, to Elizabeth Owen, daughter of John Owen and Armelle (Grant) Owen, who was born June 1, 1777. There were born to them six children:
1. Dr. James Anderson, born March 3, 1803.
2. Armelle Anderson, born August 20, 1804; died December 18, 1848; unmarried.
3. Daniel Anderson, born August 19, 1806.
4. Mary Anderson, born May 22, 1808.
5. Eliza Anderson, born May 10, 1810.
6. Thomas Anderson, born March 21, 1812.
