Teachers Are Wed In Baptist Ceremony
Oakhurst Baptist Church was the scene Sunday of the wedding of Miss Carolyn Ann Kistler and Marvin Eugene Poole.
Rev. Frank R. Moore officiated at 4 p.m. A church reception followed.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Kistler of [address left out for privacy] was given in marriage by her father.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Samuel Poole of [address left out for privacy], the bridegroom chose his father as best man.
Maid of honor was Miss Barbara Kistler, the bride's sister, and
bridesmaids were Misses Betty Flowe, Livia Head and Brenda Kistler, the
bride's sister. Junior bridesmaids were Phyllis McManus and
Cynthia Merrit.
Mrs. Poole is a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School, Mars Hill
College and Wake Forest College. She has done graduate work at
the University of North Carolina and Appalachian State Teachers
College. She teaches at McClintock Junior High School.
Her husband is a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School, Lees-McRae
Junior College and ASTC. He has served with the Army Security
Agency in West Germany. He teaches at Cochrane Junior High School.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis G. Grimsley, was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Miss Rebecca Brandes of Charlotte, the bridegroom's
sister, and bridesmaids were Misses Elizabeth Stevens, Lexington; Hilda
Kemp, Charlotte; and Bonnie Chandler.
Flower girl was Barbara Ann Grimsley. Mrs. Brandes is a graduate
of Asheboro High School and East Carolina College. She teaches at
Hawthorne Junior High School, in Charlotte.
Her husband is a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School. He
attended Riverside Military Academy and is employed by Gulf Oil Corp.
of Charlotte.
