Unnamed/Unknown
| NOTE: |
In all probability there are more
small, family-type cemeteries in addition to the
cemeteries named on this list. There are two in
particular I wish to determine whether they exist or
whether they are an error. These cemetery possibilities
have no reasonable match with any other cemetery put
forth on this list. Any input into these two possible
cemeteries is greatly sought. They are as follows:
(1) Section 6, T59N, R27W in Union Twp on the 1876 plat
is depicted a unlabeled cross used to mark cemeteries.
(2) On page 155 of the History of Daviess County (1984)
Ms. Elizabeth Jeffries says that "An old family
cemetery is shown on the Milt Donner land in the 1916
atlas on Range 28, Section 7. It is located north of
Route VV. The name has been lost through the passage of
time." I do not see a cemetery plotted on in Section
7 of the 1916 Plat Book, nor have I ever run across any
other reference to a cemetery in this section. I do not
feel I have enough evidence before me to conclude whether
or not such a cemetery exists or whether there might be
an error. |
