DCL Daviess County Library in Gallatin, Missouri. The library has transcriptions to 83 cemeteries--an excellent source for transcriptions. Unique to the library is an index by Cynthia Robinson to these 83 cemeteries which is helpful as a starting point when the cemetery of an ancestor is unknown. (A word of caution: the index has errors and discrepancies from the transcriptions.) The librarian also has a packet listing all genealogical resources of the library; the last page of this packet is a hard-to-read but fairly accurate map showing cemetery locations in the county.
SHS State Historical Society of Missouri library in Columbia, Missouri. The library has 6 volumes of DAR transcriptions found in the DAR section, Daviess County, numbers 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 published respectively in 1970, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, and 1976. In the counties section, the SHS has 4 books on Daviess County cemeteries including Ellsberry's two-volume work, Grand River and Clear Creek cemeteries updated through 1990 and the DAR's 1963 Creekmore, Rogers, and Johnson cemetery transcriptions. Finally, Volume 31 of the Missouri--Cemetery reference wall contains the DAR 1971 volume with additional cemeteries bringing the total number of unique cemetery transcription holdings to 85.
DARL Daughters of the American Revolution Library in Washington, D.C.. These are conclusions drawn from searching the online card catalog and matching them with the 6 aforementioned DAR volumes at the SHS. Therefore, these are confident guesses rather than confirmations. Also listed was volume two of Ellsberry. These transcriptions are not available for loan or purchase, but DAR members and non-DAR members (for a nominal fee) are welcome at the library. See their website for details.
