Pattonsburg Old Town (Benton)
Name/History Perhaps the cemetery could be called "Ancient Town," for the cemetery is located where the original Pattonsburg lay. That is, in the future one might call the present-day post-1993 flood location of Pattonsburg "New Pattonsburg," the pre-1993 flood location of old Elm Flat "Old Pattonsburg," and the pre-Elm Flat original location of Pattonsburg "Ancient Pattonsburg" so as to distinguish the three spots where Pattonsburg has been.
Transcription DAR: 1975; about 300 names
Repositories DCL, SHS, DARL
Location Section 23, T61N, R29W; this is the area of the original Pattonsburgh
Directions From Old Pattonsburg, take route "PP" north 1 mile. Where the road bends to the left (westward) and intersects with 147 St, the cemetery lies on the north side of the road.**
