Civil Bend Christian Church North and South (Marion)
Name/History Named for the Civil Bend Christian Church which used to be at this location, but no longer exists. The 1876 & 1898 plat books plot the church on the south side of the road. Today there is a nice 6-foot monument which below a large cross reads "Civil Bend Christian Church Cemetery" on the south side of the road. This cemetery which is still in use today. The Civil Bend cemeteries have the most-accessible transcriptions of any cemetery in the county.

Directions From Interstate 35, take the DD Hwy or Civil Bend exit (exit 72). Head southeast (away from the town of Civil Bend) on DD. If you follow DD for just over 1 mile, you will see the cemetery on both sides of route "DD"--the north side on your left, the south on your right.
